Basic information about Qurbani, Aqeeqah and Sadqah, and how names are recorded in your booking.
Days of Qurbani
Qurbani is performed on the 10th, 11th and 12th of Dhul Hijjah, after the Eid prayer.
Shares
One goat is one share, for one person. One buffalo has seven shares, so up to seven people can share one buffalo. A Buffalo Share books one of these seven shares.
The animal
A goat should be at least one year old and a buffalo at least two years old. The animal should be healthy and free from defects.
Aqeeqah and Sadqah
Aqeeqah is offered in thanks for the birth of a child, traditionally on the seventh day. Sadqah is voluntary charity. Aqeeqah and Sadqah are usually performed on Wednesdays; another day can be arranged on request.
Names and intention
- Enter the name of each person the Qurbani is for.
- A Full Buffalo needs seven names. Up to two Full Buffalo can be booked in one order.
- Check the names again in the cart before payment.
