If the family at home books
A family member in India can book on the website, and the pilgrim’s name or the names of the family members can be entered in the participant fields as the donor decides. Donations are accepted from donors in India only.
- Goat: one name.
- Buffalo Share: one name per share.
- Full Buffalo: seven names; up to two Full Buffalo per order.
The cart shows the names again before payment, which is the point at which a family can check that every name is correct.
Timing
Qurbani is performed on the 10th, 11th and 12th of Dhul Hijjah, after the Eid prayer, in the order bookings are received. Bookings made on or after 8 Dhul Hijjah are usually performed on the 11th or 12th. Once your Qurbani is performed, a confirmation is sent to you on WhatsApp, so the donor in India can pass the news on to the family member who is away.
Payment and cancellation
Payment is by bank transfer to the Daan Foundation account, using the order number as the reference; the booking is confirmed once the amount is received. A Qurbani booking can be cancelled up to 3 days before Eid ul Adha with a full refund. See the refund and cancellation policy.
A note on records
The WhatsApp confirmation reaches the donor who booked, so a family may wish to forward it to the member who is away. The Track Booking page needs the order reference and the billing email used at checkout, so keep both where the family can find them.
Support can be reached by email, phone or WhatsApp from the contact page, and will never ask for passwords, card details or one-time codes.
Names and quantities
A goat takes one name. A Buffalo Share takes one name per share, and a Full Buffalo takes seven names, with up to two Full Buffalo in one order. A family can therefore cover the pilgrim and the members at home in a single order, if that is the donor’s decision, by entering each name in its own field.
