Quran Mein Qurbani Ka Zikr: Where Qurbani Is Mentioned

The Quran speaks of sacrifice in Surah Al-Hajj 22:34–37 and recounts the account of Ibrahim and his son in Surah As-Saffat 37:102–107. This page summarises what those verses say, as source context. It does not say that any verse approves or describes a particular booking arrangement.

Surah Al-Hajj 22:34–37

These verses describe sacrifice as a religious rite and emphasise remembrance of Allah. They also place the focus on piety rather than material aspects of sacrifice. In order, the passage says:

  • 22:34: a rite of sacrifice has been appointed for every community, so that they mention the name of Allah over the animals He has provided, and the verse reminds that God is one.
  • 22:35: it describes the people whose hearts are fearful when Allah is mentioned, who are patient, who establish prayer and who spend from what they have been given.
  • 22:36: it refers to the animals appointed as symbols of Allah, to saying His name over them, and to eating from them and feeding the needy and the beggar.
  • 22:37: it says that the meat and blood do not reach Allah; what reaches Him is piety.

Surah As-Saffat 37:102–107

These verses recount the account of Ibrahim and his son in the context of obedience and steadfastness. The son answers that his father should do as he is commanded and that he will be found among the steadfast; both submit; Ibrahim is called and told that he has fulfilled the vision; the passage describes the matter as a clear trial; and it ends with the words that a great sacrifice was given as ransom. They provide Qur’anic context for reflection; they are not a checklist for an online booking arrangement.

How to read these verses on this website

The summaries above repeat what the verses say and nothing more. This page does not name a ruling from them, and it does not connect them to any service. The passages above do not by themselves determine the religious validity of a particular online arrangement, the appointment of an agent, timing, animal selection or distribution.

The Significance of Qurbani in Islam guide quotes two of these verses (22:37 and 37:107). For a personal ruling, consult a qualified scholar or mufti who can consider your circumstances and school of thought.

If you are comparing the verses with a booking

The booking information on this website is separate from the verses above. In practice a donor chooses an option, enters participant names, pays the amount shown, and receives a WhatsApp confirmation once the Qurbani is performed. The meat is distributed to people in need.

Qurbani is performed on the 10th, 11th and 12th of Dhul Hijjah, after the Eid prayer. Qurbani Centre performs Qurbani on goats and buffalo only. The How it works page lists the steps one by one.
