Nafl Qurbani means voluntary Qurbani. Whether it may be offered for the well-being or good fortune of family members is a religious question that this page does not decide; please ask a qualified local scholar. If a donor decides to book, the website takes one name per goat or share and records the names as entered.
Voluntary Qurbani and the website
The Qurbani options on the website are the same for every donor: Goat, Buffalo Share or Full Buffalo. The booking does not ask the donor to state a reason. It asks for names, quantity and payment.
Each option takes one participant name for each selected unit. A donor who books for several family members enters one name for each goat or share. A Full Buffalo takes seven names, and one order can include up to two Full Buffalo.
Entering the names of children and family members
The guidance page says to enter the name of each person the Qurbani is for. The same field is used for every name, and the donor decides which names to type. Check the spelling in the cart before payment; the cart shows the names a second time.
If the names differ from the name of the person paying, keep the order number. It is the payment reference and the key to the Track Booking page.
Planning the booking
- Make a list of the names and decide how many units that makes.
- Choose goats if you prefer one unit per name, or Buffalo Shares if you want one share per name.
- Pay the exact amount shown and use the order number as the reference. The booking is confirmed once the amount is received.
Qurbani is performed on the 10th, 11th and 12th of Dhul Hijjah, in the order bookings are received.
After the Qurbani
Once your Qurbani is performed, a confirmation is sent to you on WhatsApp. The meat is distributed to people in need and is not delivered to the donor. A booking can be cancelled up to 3 days before Eid ul Adha with a full refund; see the refund and cancellation policy.
Keeping the order organised
A single order can hold several names, but each order has its own order number and its own payment. If different family members pay separately, separate orders keep the records simple. If one person pays for everyone, one order with all the names is simpler.
Whichever you choose, keep the order number, the transfer receipt and the WhatsApp confirmation together so that any later question to support can be answered quickly.
Ask a scholar
This page does not give a religious ruling about voluntary Qurbani, intention, family circumstances or spiritual outcomes, and it promises none. For a ruling on your own circumstances, please consult a qualified local scholar.
