Qurbani on Eid ul Adha
Muslims who are not on Hajj offer Qurbani during the days of Eid ul Adha, from the 10th to the 12th of Dhul Hijjah. Both remember the obedience of Prophet Ibrahim (AS) to Allah.
Sharing the meat
A common practice is to divide the meat into three parts: one for the family, one for relatives and friends, and one for people in need. With Qurbani Centre, all of the meat is distributed to people in need.

Booking a Qurbani for Eid ul Adha
Choose an option, type one participant name for each unit and check the names in the cart. Payment is made by bank transfer to the Daan Foundation account on the Bank Details page, and the booking is confirmed once the amount is received. Qurbani is then performed on the 10th, 11th or 12th of Dhul Hijjah, in the order bookings are received.
A goat is one share for one person and should be at least one year old. A buffalo has seven shares and should be at least two years old.
If a family member is on Hajj
A donor in India can book for family members at home. Please see the page on a Hajj pilgrim and Qurbani for family at home for how names are entered. Whether a particular person must offer Qurbani is a question for a scholar.
Confirmation and records
Once your Qurbani is performed, a confirmation is sent to you on WhatsApp, and the Track Booking page shows the status recorded for your order. The meat is distributed to people in need and is not delivered to the donor.
Qurbani is performed within India and specific locations are not published; recipient numbers and impact figures are not published at present.
Names and quantities
A goat takes one name. A Buffalo Share takes one name per share, and several shares can be booked in one order. A Full Buffalo takes seven names, and one order can include up to two Full Buffalo; for additional Full Buffalo, a separate order is placed.
