Sahih Muslim 1966 reports Anas ibn Malik (RA) that the Prophet ﷺ, when sacrificing, said: “Bismillah, wallahu akbar” (In the name of Allah, and Allah is the Greatest). This page gives that report and the steps of a Qurbani booking with Qurbani Centre. It gives no other dua.
The words reported when sacrificing
The report in Sahih Muslim 1966 is quoted as it appears: the Prophet ﷺ said “Bismillah, wallahu akbar”. No other dua or formula is given on this page, because no other wording is quoted here with a verified source.
Questions such as who says the words, or in which situation, depend on the circumstances of the person asking. For a ruling on your own circumstances, please consult a qualified local scholar.
Step 1: choose an option
Choose Goat, Buffalo Share or Full Buffalo. One goat is one complete Qurbani for one person. A buffalo has seven shares, so a Buffalo Share is one of the seven and a Full Buffalo is all seven. The price is shown on each option page.
Step 2: enter the names
Type one participant name for each selected unit: one for a goat, one for each Buffalo Share and seven for a Full Buffalo. Check the names again in the cart before payment.
Step 3: pay
Complete checkout, then transfer the amount shown to the Daan Foundation account on the Bank Details page, using your order number as the payment reference. The booking is confirmed once the amount is received.
Step 4: the Qurbani is performed
Qurbani is performed on the 10th, 11th and 12th of Dhul Hijjah, after the Eid prayer, in the order bookings are received. Each animal is hand-slaughtered by an experienced Muslim slaughterer, without stunning. Qurbani Centre performs Qurbani on goats and buffalo only; a goat is at least one year old and a buffalo at least two years old.
Before you book
Have the names ready, decide the number of units and keep the WhatsApp number you want to use. The website shows a WhatsApp contact number for communication and payment confirmation only; it is not a payment account.
Support is available by email, phone and WhatsApp through the contact page, and will never ask for passwords, card details or one-time codes.
How the steps fit the calendar
Bookings and payments are made before or during the days of Eid ul Adha. Qurbani itself is performed on the 10th, 11th and 12th of Dhul Hijjah, and bookings made on or after 8 Dhul Hijjah are usually performed on the 11th or 12th. The WhatsApp confirmation follows once the Qurbani is performed, so the confirmation is the last step, not the first.
Step 5: your confirmation
Once your Qurbani is performed, a confirmation is sent to you on WhatsApp. The meat is distributed to people in need and is not delivered to the donor. The Track Booking page shows the status recorded for your order.
